Very unusual Dual-tone Sphinx 3000 Pistol with ambidextrous controls and fluted grip straps made for the Rheinfelden (Baden) Swiss Police as reflected by the politically correct/incorrect bath tub logo on the frame, designed to represent Rheinfelden's history as a spa town known for its salt water baths.

Description:

Standard configuration Dual-tone Sphinx 3000 Police pistol, chambered in 9mmP, with ambidextrous de-cocker lever, removable white dotted night sights, the rear sight drift adjustable, both secured with a torque screw. Left side of frame with Rheinfelden tub logo, followed by "Police", "SPHINX/MADE IN/ SWITZERLAND", and the full SN. Right side of frame marked with Sphinx logo. "9 PARA" on exposed barrel hood. Import marked under the picatinny rail. One high capacity 16 round magazine. WILL NOT SHIP TO RESTRICTED STATES.

Condition:

EXC+ original condition with just the minute sharp edge and handling wear, a very small scuff on the front of the squared trigger guard. Comparable condition grips and magazine that shows only minimal insertional wear. Bright bore with sharp rifling. Correct manual mechanics. A striking Sphinx marked with an extraordinary logo, sure to engender a lot of conversation!
