Offered here for sale and just acquired is a fine collectible Springfield Armory 1911?A1 .45 Auto with the serial number NM267605. The "NM" indicates U.S. finishing/assembly. Springfield used raw forged blanks from IMBEL in Brazil. Pistols with N prefixes were mostly completed in Brazil, marked "Brazil" or "FI Brazil." In contrast, NM-prefix pistols had the majority of machining—including magwell and internal cuts, plus final CNC machining—carried out in Illinois, USA.under stringent quality standards.
NM-prefix pistols generally exhibit better fit and finish than N-prefix counterparts, presumably due to the added machining and assembly precision in the US.
Equipped with Trijicon rear night sight. Appears to have seen very little use and is about 99% condition. Just a few storage marks. Comes with 3 magazines in original case with warranty and manual and hard shell holsters.
