Description:
 Springfield Armory XD Mod.2 Service Model is an ergonomically designed semi-auto pistol meant to deliver rapid, controlled fire on target. The XD Mod.2 features Springfield's GripZone™ frame that optimizes pointing and shooting control to get you on target quickly and stay on target during rapid fire. Three different textures are molded into specific parts of the grip where slip-resistance is most critical. Springfield Armory incorporated the High-Hand™ grip relief and High-Hand beavertail on the Mod.2 to position the hand as high as possible toward the bore, reducing the pistol's felt recoil. The frame and the slide have been slimmed down on the XD Mod.2 for improved handling and concealability in a full-size semi-automatic pistol. Posi-wedge slide serrations provide a solid hold on the slide when loading and unloading the pistol. The dimensional changes applied to the XD Mod.2 design maintain compatibility with original XD magazines and holsters. A low-profile rear combat sight and fiber optic front sight enhance quick target acquisition. The Service Model has a durable polymer frame and forged steel slide with a Melonite® finish for long-lasting durability. A loaded chamber indicator and striker status indicator give both visual and tactile indication of whether the gun is loaded, no matter the lighting condition. The Springfield Armory XD Mod.2 Service Model Semi-Auto Pistol is simple to takedown for cleaning and maintenance
