Offered here for sale and just acquired is this c.1980s recreation of the classic military WWII and post war National Match auto .45 pistol made by Springfield Armory of Geneseo, Illinois. This Springfield Armory 1911A-1 .45 ACP pistol, with a 5" barrel and serial number NM73110, was manufactured in Geneseo, Illinois plant. The "NM" prefix indicates that the pistol was assembled and finished at Springfield Armory's Geneseo facility. While the frames are sourced from IMBEL in Brazil, the final machining and assembly, including internal cuts and rail cuts, were performed in Illinois .
Springfield Armory began using the "NM" prefix in the mid-1980s. With serial number is NM73110, it is likely that it was manufactured in the late 1980s or early 1990s. It appears to have seen light use and is in fine condition.
