High original condition Star Model B, extensively marked with matching numbers, as issued to the German Hessen police circa 1953. Complete with correct hardshell holster and spare magazine.
Description:
Standard configuration post war Star Model B, cal. 9MmP, with fixed front sight and drift adjustable rear sight. Left side of slide with the usual two line address denoting Star’s location and caliber. Barrel hood marked “Cal.08”. As was true for the West German Police contract pistols, many of the parts were marked with the last three digits of the serial number including the slide stop, left side of slide, left side of safety, barrel hood, barrel bushing and the matching magazine. Hessen Police marking on butt adjacent to the “B”. Checkered walnut grips, each panel secured with two screws. Complete with correct black hardshell leather holster and spare non-matching magazine #1-999.
Condition:
Near EXC with sharp edge holster wear. Negligible wear on grip straps, suggesting the pistol was carried more than shot. Comparable condition case hardening on hammer and magazines. Grips with minimal oil stains and generally sharp checkering. Mirror bore. Correct manual mechanics. VG Holster, lightly marked between belt loops. An extremely nice, no excuse, high condition Star Model B as issued to the West German Police in 1953, with correct holster and spare magazine.
