Antique J. Stevens Old Model Pocket Pistol 22 Cal RF

Serial #2397, .22 RF, 3 ½ inch part round part octagon barrel with a good bore with moderate rifling and light roughness. This is the Old Model Pocket Pistol manufactured by J. Stevens & Co. circa 1884-1886. In excellent condition the barrel and frame retain 90-95% of the original bright nickel finish with some scattered flaking revealing the brass frame having crisp markings on the barrel. The rosewood grips are numbered to the gun with frame and barrel matching. The action functions properly holding at half and full cock and there is a slight bit of play in the barrel and the catch is slight worn allowing the barrel to be opened with little force. A very nice example of these neat little tip-up pocket pistols. Antique
