MINTY 1912 STEYR NAZI REBULD TO P-08 9MM
SALE PENDING

Description:
This unusual strip-clip–fed WWI pistol is one of approximately 30,000 examples recovered from Austria’s arsenal. Following the occupation of Austria, it was standard German Army procedure to arm local collaborators, allowing German soldiers to be freed for front-line combat.
In this case, the pistols required more than the usual Waffenamt acceptance, as they were originally chambered in 9×23mm rather than the p-08 standard 9×19mm. As a result, they were sent to Berlin, where they were re-barreled and, in most instances, refinished. After conversion, they were issued to collaborators.
This example retains approximately 99+% of its Berlin blue finish.
All parts are matching and correctly marked with the appropriate Waffenamts and the “08” slide stamp, confirming its conversion.
The checkered wooden grips are in excellent condition, showing only minimal use, with no splits or missing chips. The bolt face and feed ramps show little to no use, and the bore is laser bright with razor-sharp rifling and no trace of frost.
This scarce and historically significant pistol would be a standout addition to any collection—and a true head-turner at the range.
