Steyr Hahn Model 1911 Rig - Mountain Company

Description:
This is a nice example of a Steyr Hahn Model 1911 issued to the Austrian military in 1916. It is all matching and has a "28/G/8" unit marking on the frame, indicating this particular gun was issued to the 28th Mountain Company. It comes as a rig with a scarce canvas holster. The gun itself has retained roughly 85% of its original finish. Most of the wear is on the front strap, but there is also wear concentrated around the high edges in general, and a few light scratches and handling marks here and there. Fitted with nice period-correct wood grips - tiny chip in the wood on the left panel around the screw hole. The rifling in the bore is poor with obvious pitting throughout.
