An affordable semi-auto chambered in 9mm Parabellum (9mm Luger), the Stoeger STR-9 offers many attractive features at a price that doesn't break the bank. Borrowing many design concepts from various other manufacturers, the STR-9 takes the best from several other guns on the market to bring forth a product that is reliable, comfortable, and accurate. The STR-9's grip is similar to that of guns such as the H&K VP9, Sarsilmaz SAR-9, and Springfield XD series, with contoured finger grooves and additional grip texture in just the right places. The pistol's grip angle is similar to that of a Smith & Wesson M&P or 1911 platform, making the gun point naturally for many individuals. The striker system, trigger, and takedown procedure is decidedly Glock-adjacent, offering reliability and simplistic toolless maintenance. Additional backstraps are available for purchase to further customize the fitment of the pistol. The STR-9 uses 15-round steel magazines and a 4" barrel with loaded chamber indicator and comes in at a size that is fit for concealed carry, duty use, competition, or just plinking at the range.
