The Taurus® Spectrum® is slim, trim semi-auto pistol that's easily concealed, even under summer clothing. The non-corrosive polymer frame and a black, Melonite-treated carbon steel slide lend well for carrying close to perspiring bodies. The Spectrum utilizes a striker-fired mechanism, with a double-action trigger system with no pre-cock or pre-load applied. There is no manual safety. The Spectrum semi-automatic pistol has rounded, or melted, edges throughout the frame and slide for enhanced concealability and snagless deployment. Fixed front and rear, low-profile sights interfere minimally when drawing the weapon; and the pistol's superb ergonomics lend to rapid, instinctive shooting. Soft-touch overmold panels on the polymer frame and the rear of the slide enhance overall shooter control and help dissipate recoil. .380 ACP
