*Sale Pending* - CASED PAIR OF LARGE FRAME NO. 2 VOLCANIC PISTOLS
Description: Pair of standard configuration Large Frame No. 2 Volcanic lever action pistols with 8 inch blued octagon barrels chambered in 41 caliber "Rocket Ball". This was self contained ammunition. Both have very good shiny bores with sharp rifling. Sights include a post front with a fixed notch rear. Barrels with integral magazines retain about 80% of their original blue finish and good addresses. On one of them the rotating sleeve at the muzzle has no blue remaining but the rest of the barrel does. Brass frames have a nice smooth brass patina. Hammers and levers have traces of case color remaining. Walnut grips fit well and retain most all of their original factory varnish. About 1,500 of these 8 inch barrel pistols were manufactured between 1855-1859. Also included is an old custom mahogany case with a blank plaque on the lid. Case lining is in good condition. A very nice cased pair of Volcanic pistols that compliment each other. Leroy Merz Antique Firearms specializes in antique and vintage Winchesters and other fine American firearms.
