CUSTOM ENGRAVED VOLCANIC LARGE FRAME NO. 2 PISTOL WITH CASE

Description:
Custom engraved Large Frame No. 2 Volcanic lever action pistol has the rare 6 inch octagon barrel chambered in 41 caliber "Rocket Ball". This was self contained ammunition. Bore has visible rifling with fine scattered roughness throughout. Sights include a post front with a fixed notch rear. Barrel has most of its re-plated silver finish with a good barrel address. Brass frame has been custom engraved with scroll work and refinished with a silver plating and after it was manufactured. Ivory grips are sound and fit well. About 1,250 of these were manufactured between 1855-1857. Also included is a custom mahogany case with an engraved "BTH" on a plaque on the lid. Case lining is in good condition. A nice looking cased Volcanic pistol.
