Engraved Volcanic Pistol

Very nice engraved Volcanic.  Functions properly.  Thanks for looking. John   

The barrel length is 3.5 inches.  These New Haven No. 1 Pocket Models were advertised as 4" nominal barrel length, but they were actually 3.5" long. Grips are very good without cracks, but they do have some small chips at the bottom, especially on one side.  You should see these clearly if you view enlarged images 4 and 5.  Lots of original finish on the grips and they fit perfectly tight all around.  This is why I'm not removing the grips to see the serial number.  Also, the rifled bore is excellent.  

The only flaw to me is the lever sets a little low when pistol turned upright.  See photos 4 and 5; this is fairly common and it is still fully functional.  There is a fair amount of silver on this gun, which is unusual.  The barrel has some finish, also.

This includes working the actions (locks, hammers, triggers, etc.) Old guns (pre-1899) have old parts, including old springs and other internals (we are talking about 150+ years old, on average!). These parts can and do break. You are not buying a new gun; this is an antique/collectible and it is catagorized as such for that reason.
