Description: The Walther P38 represents one of the most significant advances in military pistol design, introducing the world's first successful double-action semi-automatic pistol when adopted by the German Wehrmacht in 1938. This very fine AC44 example bears the distinctive "stack date" marking indicating wartime production at the Walther factory. Features matching numbers throughout with black plastic grooved grips typical of wartime production. Has been professionally refinished to very fine condition with an excellent bore and remains mechanically fine throughout. Bears import markings as required for post-war importation. An excellent example of this historically significant German military pistol that revolutionized handgun design worldwide.
