This single line 1945 “a” block pistol is one of the more rare Walther P38 pistols by virtue of fewer than 40K being produced in 45 compared to 120-146K in the 3 prior years and also being the 8982nd (the “a” block) pistol of 1945. Comes with proper year German JWA holster and two properly marked 359 mags. Numbers match. The barrel is excellent with strong lands and brightness no sign or rust or prior corrosion. Barrel left base is also marked with faint eagle over 359. There are no import marks on this pistol. The grips are original to pistol with sequential rt/lft odd even numbers. Both mags are proofed with eagle over 359. The left receiver side is proofed with eagle over 359. The slide right is proofed with two eagle over 359 marks and one eagle over swastika- these 3 proof marks were placed after bluing establishing bluing to be original finish. There is a faint red color remaining in the safety fire position. The texture of the metal surfaces does not appear to have been refinished with any sanding or grinding. The sliding surfaces, including mag, do not show much wear from sliding. Pistol does not show much use. The overall finish I would rate as close to 100% as one can get. All small parts appear to be properly in a phosphate finish and the plunger appears to be in white which is consistant with finish being original.

This single line 1945 “a” block pistol is one of the more rare Walther P38 pistols by virtue of fewer than 40K being produced in 45 compared to 120-146K in the 3 prior years and also being the 8982nd (the “a” block) pistol of 1945. Comes with proper year German JWA holster and two properly marked 359 mags. Numbers match. The barrel is excellent with strong lands and brightness no sign or rust or prior corrosion. Barrel left base is also marked with faint eagle over 359. There are no import marks on this pistol. The grips are original to pistol with sequential rt/lft odd even numbers. Both mags are proofed with eagle over 359. The left receiver side is proofed with eagle over 359. The slide right is proofed with two eagle over 359 marks and one eagle over swastika- these 3 proof marks were placed after bluing establishing bluing to be original finish. There is a faint red color remaining in the safety fire position. The texture of the metal surfaces does not appear to have been refinished with any sanding or grinding. The sliding surfaces, including mag, do not show much wear from sliding. Pistol does not show much use. The overall finish I would rate as close to 100% as one can get. All small parts appear to be properly in a phosphate finish and the plunger appears to be in white which is consistant with finish being original.

SHIPPING: All firearms shipped Priority Mail with tracking. Price stated is for the lower 48. LEGAL REQUIREMENT Modern firearms must be transferred through a licensed FFL dealer in Buyer’s area. Buyer must supply to Seller a copy of Buyer’s driver license and a copy of Buyer’s local FFL dealer’s license before shipment will be made. A C&R License is acceptable for C&R firearms. All handguns are shipped to an FFL.

If you take the firearm from the FFL or fire it it’s yours. In the case of a return, buyer pays all shipping charges. YOU HAVE A 3 DAY INSPECTION PERIOD FROM THE DATE OF DELIVERY TO FFL OR C&R DEALER. SELLER WILL NOT REFUND SHIPPING COSTS AND THERE IS A 10% RESTOCKING FEE DEDUCTED FROM REFUND. YOURIS A BINDING CONTRACT, AND THIS CONTRACT INCLUDES YOU AGREEING TO ALL OF THE ABOVE, THE RESTOCKING FEE AND NO REFUNDS FOR SHIPPING.
