Up for sale and just acquired is this very attractive UNFIRED Colt 1911 copy in .22LR made by Walther. Colt Government Model .22 LR manufactured under license by Carl Walther (and later distributed through Umarex USA). These are odern reproductions of the classic M1911 design blowback-operated .22 LR pistols (not .45 ACP conversions) made with alloy/zinc components and steel internals.
It was introduced to give shooters a low-cost training analog to the 1911 platform. This specimen was likely manufactured roughly between 2015–2020 .By the 2000s Colt no longer made in-house .22 pistols . However the demand still existed for 1911-style trainers. So Colt licensed licensed the design to Walther who already specialized in .22 rimfire pistols . Production moved to Germany.
These guns were built to mimic the feel and controls of a 1911 . Be accessible by the thriftiest of shooters and collectors. Easy to shoot and require less machining cost than traditional Colts. The gun is offered with one magazine and came to us without any factory box but is in 100% condition.
