Walther Model 4, Variation "2" Late, .32acp, Imperial Marked Crown/D on left slide, w/Carl Busse GMSH, Mainz 1917 Holster
Description: SOLD PENDING FUNDS. Offered for sale is one(1) Walther Model 4, Variation "2" Late, serial #133051, Imperial marked Crown/D with a very nice 1917 dated holster by Carl Busse GMSH, Mainz. The second variation of the Model 4 saw the bulk of the pistol's service during WW1, and is thus the most common variation observed. Features of this variation include a triangular front sight, serial number on right frame, 6 serrations, 7 grooves on slide, and a dovetail rear sight. Serial #133051, is a very nice example of a Walther Model 4 that was issued to the Imperial Germany Army during WW1. Left side of slide is marked "SELBSTLADE-PISTOLE CAL. 7,65 WALTHER'S PATENT with the Walther trademark. This marking denotes manufacturing by subcontractor Meffert Co. Right side of slide is marked "Carl Walther WAFFENFABRIK Zella=St.Blasii". The gun is serial number matching, has "Crown N" proofs on barrel, slide, and frame. The "C/D" Imperial German military acceptance proof is on the left slide just to the left of the groove/serration pattern. Gun has retained somewhere near 92% of its original bluing. There is very minor thinning on front/rear grip straps. Minor high edge wear on slide, and frame. Around the muzzle a little more than rest of gun. Grips are not cracked or chipped, but both sides have a slight flare away from the frame at the top of the respective grip. Magazine is correct and original. The bore is very nice and would rate a 9+. The 1917 dated Carl Busse holster, dark brown in color, is in very good to excellent condition with supple leather and sound stitching. Shows minimal light surface use marks. No sales to California or New York state. I ship thru a local FFL, so once payment is received, I have my local dealer request your FFL. As these steps occur, I will keep you informed. For sale only in lower 48 states USA. Shipping cost $25. SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes Serial Number: 133051 |
