Description:
Early production Walther P38-K, this example the 674th assembled, with 2.75? barrel. White insert front sight mounted on forward slide bridge. Horizontally adjustable rear sight. Left side of frame with Walther Banner followed by single line Walther address surmounting the “P38-K” designation. The full serial number is on the right side of the slide. Production year 1976 as marked on left side upper trigger guard. Matte finish barrel, slide, and all small parts except the decocking lever and black anodized alloy frame. Two piece checkered black plastic grips, the left panel recessed for the fixed lanyard loop. Two high polish commercial magazines each with 7 indicator holes and marked with the Walther banner over P38 9mm. Instruction booklet, matching/undated test target, and original matching shipping box with orange/black end label.
Condition:
EXC original finish, the right side of the slide with a scattering of pinprick box movement/type losses, minimal signs of actual use. Comparable condition grips, magazine and box/end label. Mirror bore. Correct manual mechanics. One of the scarcer postwar P38 variations, especially nice with the matching test target and box!
