Description:

Very scarce Postwar Walther PP, factory engraved and gold plated, in presentation case. Standard foliate engraving with matted background, crosshatching over exposed chamber and bottom of magazine floorplate. Left side of slide with the usual Walther banner, model and caliber. Coded manufacturing date "HI" on exposed chamber. Full serial number on right side of slide and frame. Discrete import mark on butt under magazine floorplate. Ivory/White checkered 2 piece grips and ivory colored spare magazine extension. Each of the gold plated magazines are unmarked with an indicator slot on the right side. The floorplate has crosshatched engraving, complimenting the pattern on the exposed chamber. Complete with blue leatherette presentation case, silvered Walther banner on the lid. Burgundy velour base and single chrome plated clasp securement.

Condition:

The ensemble appears nearly new, with just the most minor handling marks. There is no scuffing over the exposed barrel hood or sharp edge wear anywhere on the gun. Comparable condition grips with no cracks around the escutcheons. The only discernable wear relates to the insertional scuffing on the magazines. Presentation case is excellent, near new externally, with no discernable scuffing on the outside, with minor interior impressions and staining. Comparable condition spare magazine. A fantastic ensemble, without Interarms markings, seldom offered for sale.
