Unusual Walther PP issued to the German Niedersachesen police in 1969.
Description:
Standard configuration Walther PP, caliber 7.65mm, with fixed front sight, drift adjustable rear sight, and loaded indicator. Left side of slide with usual Walther address reflecting manufacturer, model, and caliber. Full serial number on right side of slide and frame. “Nds” within a squared border, on the right side of the slide and left side of the frame, reflecting special contract and issue to the German Niedersachsen Police, dated “69”. Eagle/N proofing on exposed barrel boss and left side of slide. Standard black plastic grips and correct magazine with 7 indicator holes marked on the left side with the Walther banner surmounting PP 7.65mm, flat detachable floorplate.
Condition:
Near excellent as lightly refinished, all markings including the police markings, remaining easily discernible. Now with light muzzle and minor sharp edge wear. Grips with blunted checkering, particularly the left panel, but no cracks. Comparable or better condition magazine. Mirror bore. Correct manual mechanics. One of the scarcer post war Police marked Walther PP Pistols.
