Synopsis:

Classic Walther PPK made in Germany in 1968, this excellent example with instruction manual in its original faux alligator cardboard box with matching end label referencing model, caliber and serial number.

Description:

Standard configuration Walther PPK pistol, manufactured in 1968, cal. 9mm Kurz, SN: 131116A, with blue finish, fixed front sight and drift adjustable rear sights. The serial number "131116" is prominently displayed on the slide with year "68" visible in the ejection port area. The left side of the slide bears the "WALTHER" banner and complete manufacturer address "Carl Walther Waffenfabrik Ulm/Do. Modell PPK-Cal.9 mm kurz" with a small Eagle N at the end of the text line, while the right side of the frame is stamped vertically with "131116A". The pistol is fitted with black checkered WALTHER banner grips and includes a blued magazine with finger extension floorplate. Complete with original matching faux-alligator factory box and owners manual. No spare magazine or test target. The PPK, an abbreviation for Polizeipistole Kriminal (literally "police pistol criminal") referring to the Kriminalamt crime investigation office, was released in 1931 as a smaller version of the PP with a shorter grip, barrel and frame, and reduced magazine capacity.

Condition:

Excellent, bright original salt blue with faint sharp edge wear and a few small scuffs on the right crest of the slide midway between the muzzle and the ejection port. Front strap with a scattering of very fine superficial freckles. Excellent two-piece grips with sharp checkering. Mirror bright bore. Correct manual mechanics. VG-excellent literature. Box with shelf scuffing and a few minor losses of the matching end label.
