Looking to sell an extremely RARE Postwar Walther PPK/S, factory engraved and gold plated 9mm Kurtz (.380 Auto) pistol, imported by Interarms. The pistol has 99% of the exposed metal surfaces engraved with the traditional Germanic "Oak Leaf and Acorn" engraving on all the exposed metal surfaces with a cross-hatched/diamond pattern engraving on the chamber area of the barrel with a punch dot background for shading overall. The left side of the slide is marked with the Walther banner followed by "Carl Walther Waffenfabrik Ulm/Do" over "Model PPK Cal. 9 mm Kurz". The serial number is marked vertically on the right side of the frame behind the trigger over "MADE IN GERMANY", with the matching last two digits (10) of the serial number stamped on the inside of the slide. The right side of the chamber area is marked; “HK” next to the Antlered proof of the ULM proof house/West German Eagle "N" commercial test proof. The pistol is fitted with a two-piece set of simulated checkered ivory grips that have the Walther banner at the tops on each side. It has the standard fixed front and rear sight and the bottom of the frame has a single lanyard loop on the butt. It is complete with two magazines, one for the pistol with the standard flat base plate and the other one with the white simulated ivory finger extension, both of which have the Gold plated finish to match the pistol. The pistol and spare magazine are contained in a black leatherette case with the Walther banner on the inside of the lid and a padded cotton burgundy colored lining.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining virtually all of the gold finish with some extremely minor losses, mostly to reciprocating areas, from storage and handling. White plastic grips and finger extension with some minor handling marks. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is excellent with strong rifling. Ivory grips are excellent with no cracks or losses, second magazine is also excellent.
