WORLD WAR 2 German WALTHER “ac” Code Model PP 9mm Kurz Pistol C&R WWII .380 with HOLSTER & WOODEN GRIPS
Description: WORLD WAR 2 German WALTHER “ac” Code Model PP 9mm Kurz Pistol C&R WWII .380 with HOLSTER & WOODEN GRIPS Here we present a Walther PP “ac” Code Pistol in .380 (9mm Kurz), made for World War II circa March of 1945, in Zella-Mehlis, Germany. The PP, or Police Pistol (Polizei Pistole) was a handgun designed for use by the German Police. This weapon found considerable use across both military and civilian markets and proved to be one of the most famous of its kind, which was really the first truly successful double-action semi-automatic pistol using an external hammer. When WWII began, many different organizations within the Nazi Party and outside made use of these handy and reliable pistols. The PPK was the smaller version of this pistol and most famously used by the fictional spy, James Bond, but was also the pistol supposedly used in Hitler’s alleged suicide. This is a rare little PP pistol. There are no markings, no waffenampts, no nomenclature for caliber and no Walther banner. Just a serial number and “ac” code. They began using the wooden grips in late 1944/early 1945 along with the “ac” code, starting with serial number 365,000P and ending at 397,000P in April 1945. Many consider this the “last ditch” pistol produced by Walther, although it is noted that there was no reduction in quality in their production. Beyond a doubt, this little Walther PP was made in the last days of World War II by the factory and one of the last ones out the door. Interestingly, having hand stamped numbers, this one could have been put together for the invading victors for a carton of cigarettes as the U.S. Army was the first to the factory and cleaned it out before the Russians took over. The overall condition is very good. The action is robust throughout. The bore is bright with sharp rifling. Both grips are in good shape having retained their checking. The numbers match. The holster is in great shape and “D.R.G.M” can be seen stamped under the strap. A piece of German WWII history to collect and display! This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 3-3/4 inches. Caliber: 9mm Kurz Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING. Will need to be sent to your local FFL or C&R licensee. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $2365 #201390 SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
