Serial No. 111582, made in 1913, .455, 5"" round barrel. Approximately 85% original blue is remaining, bore shows oxidation in the grooves. Top of the slide is inscribed with ""Capt. W.G. Pearson/4th BN The Kings Own/(R L) Regt. Military records show Pearson was injured after leading a charge in the Battle of the Somme on June 6th 1915 where he was wounded and then captured. Pearson would eventually be repatriated in September 1917. Pistol comes with Milner letter, photos and a book on the 4th Battalion during the great war! (Consignment)
