REMINGTON 12 GA MODEL 1905 AE GRADE SxS SPORTING GUN SN 353464. Very fine field grade double gun with 30 inch Oxford Pattern Damascus barrels with concave, matted, tapered rib, single bead front sight, third fastener rib extension, automatic ejectors and double triggers. Makers name engraved on top rib. Receiver has the maker's name on each side. Wood is straight grain American Walnut with checkered splinter forearm with L.C. Smith type latch. Stock is Prince of Wales design with round knob, checkered wrist, 14 inch pull over a Remington logo, hard rubber buttplate.

Drop at the heel 2 5/8 inch, drop at the comb 1-9/16 inch, weight: 7 lbs. 15.4 ozs.

CONDITION: Fine to very fine. Barrels retain about 95% original blue turning brown, original Damascus pattern with minor edge wear and a few thin spots. Receiver and floorplate retain about 50% original case colors, strong in the sheltered areas, turning silver elsewhere with some discoloration spots on the edges. Wood is sound with a small sliver missing from the forearm barrel channel and overall retains about 90% original varnish with small nicks and scratches from light use. Mechanics are fine, bright shiney bores with some hone marks on the left side.
