Accompanied by an envelope with a signed letter saying that the rifle was made for his father by "Bernie" Green. Bernard Green was listed as a gunmaker in Placerville, CA, 1878-1881. The rifle's owner died in Placerville in 1891. Barrel length 31", nipple has been replaced now, ramrod and barrel wedge are missing, but easy to replace. Mechanical condition is very good, but a gunsmith should verify safety for shooting. This rifle should be in a Placerville museum.
