CONFEDERATE NAVAL CUTLASS WITH 3 BAR U.S. CAVALRY BRASS HILT AND PHRIGIAN CAP. 25 1/2 inch unmarked blade with wide fullers on both sides. Standard U.S. cavalry three bar brass hilt w/ phrigian cap w/ initials "J.F." on top. Leather re-wrapped wood grip w/ twisted brass wire.
Condition: Good overall. Blade with some pitting. Brass guard with nice even patina. ANOTHER OF THOSE STRANGE CIVIL WAR MARRIAGES !
