118. Winchester Model 1886 Saddle Ring Carbine, desireable .45-70 caliber, excellent bore, original sights, barrel is a thinning plum patina coloration with traces of blue in protected areas. 90% magazine blue; balance of metal retains a thinning plum patina coloration. Very nice walnut with very few dings. Crisp action. There are a couple of blemishes present on the right side of the barrel but otherwise metal condition is very good plus. Factory reseach form indicates shipment to E. I. du Pont Powder Company. This SRC is in too good of condition to have been a test gun. It probably went to a du Pont family member instead. Modern-FFL required.
