127.  Winchester 1873 First Model Saddle Ring Carbine,  .44-40 cal. of course, very good plus to near fine bore; 14,XXX serial number range made in 1876.  Metal is generally smooth and clean and has basically turned to a dark plum blue brown patina with traces of darkened blue in protected areas.  Original sights and thumbprint dustcover.  Crisp action.  Very good plus walnut with a small crack in the underside on the front of the forearm- solid repair.  Small shallow crack on left of butt stock from the upper tang rearward five inches- solid however.  Complete with original saddle ring and carbine butt plate.  Very nice example.  Antique.
