A true modern high quality collector: As per pictures, above and following discription: From the original papers and box: Winchester Arms Collectors Association: Stock # G7075Xxxxx Serial # G16185xx. These special guns are first authentic guns developed for the " WINCHESTER ARMS COLLECTORS ASSOCIATION for its members only. Total production was one hundred and seventy ( 171 ) rifles. Special features of this rifle: New placement of sling swivels (inlaid) , factory supplied sling; WACA " COLLECTOR ISSUE" medallion inlaid in the stock. Was produced and ordered by and assembled for xxxx dated 6 August 1985. US Repeating Arms Company paperwork: The checkpiece Featherweight stock was designed by our master stock makers and eventually built in our own wood facilities. Each W.A.C.A medallion was hand fitted, along with the remainder of final assembly, in the Custom Shop. All 171 units are 257 Roberts caliber, incorporate the old style sling swivel bases and are equipped with a leather sling.
NEW IN BOX WITH PAPERS AND DOCUMENTATION: Exstra fancy walnut, fancy checkering, jewelled bolt, inlaid medallion and western style sling swivels, magnum crossbolt, custom schnabel forarm, gold lettered " SUPER GRADE" on the magazine floor plate, 21 inch barrel, Winchester butt. On box: order # 6120, date of manufacture: 5/23/85.
In all the research I have found no mention of this firearm and in addition of all the custom rifles and calibers done by Winchester non other were done in the 257 Roberts. I am guessing this caliber was done only for the WACA.
