JAMES PURDEY & SONS – Extra Finish SxS 20ga. two barrel set, 26” M/F & 28” F/F, European walnut capped pistol grip stock with a cheekpiece, period white line pad, one splinter forend for both sets of barrels, single non-selective trigger, automatic ejectors, vent rib barrels, side clips, hidden third fastener, Purdey self opener, gold inlayed game scenes over highly detailed backgrounds surrounded by full coverage scroll engraving, color case hardened receiver, light handling marks on wood, 95% case coloring remaining, 85% barrel bluing, gun remains clean and very tight, early 1950’s gun, originally owned by Charles P. Skouras noted movie executive of Fox Motion Pictures, includes leather motor case, a very rare small bore Purdey with all of the options.
