118A. Winchester Model 1886 Saddle Ring Carbine, .45-70 caliber. Excellent bore, original sights, barrel is a thinning plum coloration with traces of blue in protected areas. 90% magazine blue; balance of metal is a thinning plum patina coloration. Very nice walnut with very few dings. Crisp action. There are a couple of blemishes present on the right side of the barrel but otherwise metal condition is very good plus. Factory research form indicates shipment to E. I. duPont Powder Co.. Shipped in 1915. This carbine was not a test gun- it was probably used by a duPont family member! 1886 SRC's are rarely found and this example is much nicer than most. Modern- FFL required
