Description:
This is a bolt action rifle made by Herm Schneider. There is ZELLA MEHLIS after the name. Possibly the city? It has a 24" half round/half octagon barrel with integral rib and front sight ramp, and a 2 yardage express type rear sight. Lightly engraved large ring model 98 Mauser action in Cal. 7X64 Brennecke. Butter knife bolt handle and double set triggers. I don't find a date or serial number. Possibly under the wood.Has very light indication of (rust?) discoloration. Has a black plastic buttplate, LOP 14" to the front trigger. The receiver has been drilled and tapped for scope mounts(included). The rear mount has slotted screws which appear to be larger than the front socket head ones(Possibly larger such as #8 instead of #6?) Must ship to FFL holder.
