How else to describe this gun other than "drop dead gorgeous"! Spectacular Fratelli Piotti, Monaco #2 side lock, 16 gauge shotgun in 99% condition. This gun was hand crafted in 2007 and imported to the US by William Larkin Moore and Sons as a special order gun. Optional features are the single trigger, the semi-beavertail forend and the 16 gauge. The 28" chopper lumb barrels are ideally choked: .007 & .013 (IC/LM). The magnificently Contessa engraved action features a bulino Ruffed Grouse on the left lock plate, a bulino Woodcock on the right lock plate, a gold inlay of a Ruffed Grouse on the trigger guard, a gold inlaid of a Woodcock on the operating handle, on either side of the operating handle there is a profile a Woodcock head and a Grouse head AND the rest of the receiver is a tasteful variety of scroll. The wood is equally outstanding..incredible figure, flawless checkering and a gorgeous finish and great dimensions: 14 3/4" LOP to the checkered butt; 1 1/2" DAC; 2 1/4 DAH and a 1/4" right hand cast at the heel with 3/8" right hand cast at the toe. Overall weight is 5 lb. 13 oz. It comes in the maker's leather case. Not much else to say other than it is "drop dead gorgeous"!!
