Ithaca 16 gauge "A" Grade coil spring Double Hammer Shotgun, serial # 263944 made in 1913 and factory records indicate it was shipped to F.O.K. which was revealed by research that it was a Hardware store at St. Paul Minnesota. This is a very scarce gun with Ithacas new coil spring mechanism and much more rare in a 16 gauge. It was advertized as, "Our New Two Bolt Gun". 30 inch twist barrels stamped on the underlug with a 4 & 4 which would be full & full choke on both barrels with a stock LOP of 14 1/4 from factory monogramed buttplate to front trigger. This gun was found resting in a closet in Montana where it had been for several decades. It was a rare find indeed! I am including some pictures from my D.G.J. article in the winter 1999 issue. These old twist barrel guns should be kept for future generations to admire in my opinion and not hunted with. YOU ARE LIKELY TO NEVER SEE ANOTHER ONE LIKE IT FOR SALE!
