Birmingham, England, Scott Improved Bolt: A W & C Scott & Son 12 Bore Bar Action Sidelock Ejector Model Monte Carlo B Made 1904 as a Pigeon gun, It is with modern & new 28" Steel Ejector Dovetail Lump barrels with rib extension crossbolt as "Scott's Improved Bolt" and so marked, These barrels are new and were installed in Birmingham after 1954 & are proved accordingly, The bores at .731 .009 & .014" (Imp.Cyl. & Open Mod.), 2 3/4" chambers, Wall thickness on the right barrel at .0335" and .0345" on the left barrel, Modern Birmingham proof at 3 1/4 tons & 2 3/4", Miller single selective trigger, Side clip action body, Splinter forend with an Anson release, Straight hand stock at 15 3/16 x 1 3/8 x 2 3/16" over a removable 1" leather pad with plugs, Cast-Off for the right hand, 7 lbs. 3 oz., 90% original engraving coverage with a flyer on each lock, A new buttstock & forend that had to have been done in England when the new barrels were installed, Very nice wood with excellent figure, The only American touch was the Miller trigger after it reached these shores, The gun retains 100% fresh bright & vivid case colors, The barrel blue is a 99%, The stock at 98%, The checkering at 100%. The piece is tight on the face and the barrels inside & out is virtually new. This is almost like buying it new in 1904 as here is a package with new barrels & wood.
