Imported by Abercrombie & Fitch as a 2 barrel shotgun set
This is an ejector gun
Rifle bbls are 24 in. and the wgt as a rifle is 9 and 1/4 lbs, Shotgun wgt is 6 and 1/2lbs. and the bbls are 28 in. LOP is 13 and 5/8 in drop at comb is 1 and 5/8 in and drop at heel is 2 and 1/4.
As you can see, the wood is beautiful
Converted one set of barrels to double rifle
Chambered for .45-90, but regulated for .45-70 Hornaday 325 gr lever-evolution flex tip, which travels at 2,026 fps which should be plenty for anything in North America and can be purchased over the counter
( however if you are a hand loader you can work up wgts and loads to suit you.)
2nd barrel is 12 ga shotgun
Both sets of barrels were originally Damascus steel pattern, I thought they were Damascus. I found out that they are not( small spot of finish , under the bbl, was removed to reveal not Damascus pattern. Apparently people like the pattern and apparently Remington also could provide this finish .
Or you can have Dennis Olson of Plains, MT line and regulate it for a second cailber rifle and have a two barrel rifle set
Come on you know the gun with just the original set of barrels alone is worth the asking price RIGHT?
Tis would be a fun gun for hunting hogs.
