.69 caliber. RARE Butterfield Conversion to percussion. Lockplate is dated 1841. The patent breech is marked "Butterfield's/Philadelphia." The rifled bore is excellent and perhaps the gun is unfired. The wood and metal rate good-very good. The ramrod is the correct recessed pattern which accomodates the the conical bore used with the rifled barrel.
