Purdey & Sons, Audley House, South Audley Street, London, England: A 28 Bore Side-by-Side Light Game Gun Made in 2000 for the Left Hand, This piece remains in 98-99% original condition, 28" Ejector Chopper Lump Barrels Proved to 1200 BAR with 2 3/4" Chambers at .551 .008 & .013 (Tight Imp.Cyl. & Mod.), The open choke is the left barrel and the front Trigger fires in that order, Double triggers, Bushed strikers, Splinter forend, Straight hand stock at 14 1/2 x 1 1/2 x 2 3/8" over a checkered butt, Cast-Off for the left hand, Rolled trigger guard edge for the left hand, Superb 28 Bore game gun weight at 5 Lbs. 6 Oz., Exhibition walnut with deep black & brown contrast, 90% coverage of classic Purdey Rose & Scroll engraving by M. Smith and so signed: The whole is cased in the original Purdey leather trunk with leather corners with all the original accessories including turnscrews, spare strikers, canvas cover and the cleaning tools. Now the good news, this gun retains an absolute 100% bright and vivid original case colors, The heat blue on the striker bushings is 95%, The trigger face has 100% heat color remaining, The forend pipe on the inside has 100% heat blue and the overall bluing remains at 99%. The barrels inside and out remain as they did in 2000. The buttstock and forend remain at 99% with the checkering at 100%. The case with the accessories remains in nearly as good condition as the entire gun. This piece has only shot about 5 boxes of ammo and remains like a new gun.
