#226639, Parker Bros. Makers, Meriden, CT. U.S.A. Vulcan Steel: Parker Bros. 16 Bore VH with 28" Extractor Vulcan Steel Barrels on a "1" Frame Made in 1928. The barrels at .665 .021 & .027 (Imp.Mod & Full), 2 1/2" chambers, Wall thickness on the right barrel at .027" & .029" on the left, "1" Frame size, Double Triggers, Splinter forend, Pistol grip stock with the Parker grip cap at 14 1/8 x 1 5/8 x 2 7/8" over the original dogs head buttplate, Sling eyes added, 6 lbs. 9 oz., This piece retains 60% original barrel blue, It has traces of case colors but a nice patina, The original wood finish in 65% condition with typical handling marks, The wood remains very solid both fore & aft, The checkering remains at 85%, The screws remain at 95%, The bores are very good to near excellent with 2 inches of pitting 4 inches ahead of the left chamber, These are not deep or any problem, The gun is totally correct according to the Parker Identification book except for the sling swivels. Overall the piece remains a very honest 1928 game gun with the weight at 6 lbs. 9 oz. with 28" barrels.
