Classic 20ga hammerless double marked : AMERICAN ARMS, NEW YORK, and other side of frame marked: FEATHERLIGHT. Most likely made by Crescent Firearms, the largest shotgun maker in the U.S. at one time! Gun locks up tight, and has 26" barrels, original factory length, choked for: MOD. and MOD. Chambered for the 2 3/4" shell with good bores.Best to use low brass. Has side plate cocking indicators. LOP on the hand checkered walnut stock is: 14 3/8" with a black hard rubber butt-plate. Metal is mostly smooth grey , not pitted, Stock has a couple small areas of grain lifting,along the top tang, but stock is solid, and stable. this is an early hammerless American 20ga. double.
