#29964, J. Purdey, London, England: An O/U Purdey 16 Bore Fully Rounded Action Body Over & Under Game Gun proved in London 2001 and completed March 2002 that remains in Excellent condition. It has 28" Solid Rib barrels at 16.8 & 16.8 MM or .661 .010 & .016 (Tight Imp.Cyl & Mod.), 2 3/4" chambers, London proved at 1200 BAR & 70mm in late 2001, Gold plated double triggers, Ordered & delivered with a slim game forend, Straight hand stock at 14 3/4 x 1 1/2 x 2 3/8" over a checkered butt with steel engraved heel & toe plates, No cast off or on, 6 lbs. 4 oz., Case color hardened frame with their classic rose & scroll engraving with 95% coverage, It has a near Exhibition piece of European walnut with nice color and contrast, Rolled trigger guard edge for the right hand. This piece retains 98 to near 99% original barrel blue, It retains an absolute 98% original case colors, The triggers have 98% gold remaining, The original wood finish remains at 98%, The checkering at 99.5%, The barrels inside & out are as new as they were in 2002. It is cased in the maker's leather motorcase with 2 turn screws, oil bottle, spare strikers, Purdey booklet and all cleaning tools still in their original wrappings. This piece meets the eye and the hand very well with absolute refined gracefulness. The piece is priced well below replacement and it can be yours today, not 3 years from now.
