There was an old tag on the S&W that stated the revolver and mold were both found just outside of Colstrip Montana in June 1922. The ivory grips have a wonderful patina. The trigger and hammer are frozen. The steel mold appears to be a US issue, with faint markings, "US" on the flat and what appears to be the initials "GAC" on the face of the cavity leg. The sprue screw looks to be a replacement. The two smooth sided Pritchett cavities are undamaged, both showing use, but still capable of casting a solid bullet. SOLD |
