This is a S&W model no. 1 third issue last patent date is 1860. gun locks up tight, and functions very well, with good roeswood grips. Barrel is 3 1/8" long with good rifling, and moderate patches of surface pitting. Chambered for the .22 short black powder. Metal is brown patina mixed with blue.
