WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 SPECIAL ORDER SRC SN1013xxx, .32 Spl. This special order carbine fetures a full pistol grip with hard rubber grip cap while retaining the traditional carbine butt!! According to the George Madis Winchester book, special order carbines are among the rarest Winchester 1894s because they were largely produced as a journeyman working gun. But this carbine's features lend this weapon a terrific look. Very good to fine condition with barrel retaining about 98% original blue, mag tube about 90%. Receiver retains 65-70% original blue thinning somewhat with most wear at the expected balance points. The lever and hammer exhibit original blue toning to brown. Wood exhibits a couple of grain checks on the wrist and the forearm has a minor repaired crack near the right tip, but overall smooth and pleasing. Mechanics are excellent as is the bright shiny bore.
