Description:
WINCHESETER 1894 SPECIAL ORDER SADDLE RING CARBINE sn356xxx, in .32-40. The 20" barrel sports a bright excellent bore and retains about 70% of the original factory blue with the balance fading to a dark gray/brown with a very pleasing appearance. The button which caps the special order half-mag has faded to gray. There is a small area of scattered light pitting forward of the button mag. The receiver is largely fadad to a smooth patina with generous traces of blue in the protected areas. There are some pin pricks on the receiver which are widely scattered and quite sparse. The lever and hammer exhibit pretty strong remnant case colors in protected areas. The carbine butt and the forearm rate about very good plus with much original varnish. Sights and saddle ring are original but the bead is missing from the front sight.
