Stunning wood and pristine bores on this early but very well preserved hammer double rifle, chambered for the 500 BPE 3" ctg. Complete and original, action with half-cock hammers, stalking safeties, and the iconic Jones underlever action.Beautiful 28" barrels with machine-matted rib bearing the maker's name and address, original two leaf platinum-lined sight, and correct front bead. Full length trigger bow tang to steel grip cap. Stock exhibits sharp checkering, no visible cracks, correct sling eyes, LOP 14" thru original horn plate, dac 1 3/4", dah 2 1/2", neutral cast. Stock oval with crest and motto "Tout Jour". The only fault we can find is a chip out the wedge that secures the forend. 7 3/4 lbs
