Good condition Winchester model 1897 SERIAL number: D349XXX, made in 1907. The 26" barrel is  stamped  choked CYL.as stated on the barrel! making this a good cowboy shotgun. Has a bead front sight, and the writing on the barrel is clear. Wood is good with a shallow seperation on each side of the stock as it enters the frame, Has been that way a long time, and is common for these guns as the walnut wood dries. The metal is smooth grey mixed with brown patina, and not rusted. The ribbed walnut for-end is very good butt plate.Rubber butt-pad shows wear and the LOP is 14 1/4". Overall a good working gun.
