THE AVANT TOUT. 141 New Bond St. & 226 Strand, London: A 12 Bore Cogswell & Harrison Boxlock Ejector Model Avant Tout Made in 1906 with 30" Compressed Arcus Steel ejector barrels with rib extension hidden cross bolt at .734 .003 & .026" (Skt. I & Imp.Mod.), 2 1/2" chambers, Wall thickness on the right & left barrel at .032", London Nitro proved at 1 1/8 ounce, Double triggers, Nice wood with nice color & contrast, Splinter forend, Open pistol grip stock at 15 5/16 x 1 5/8 x 2 3/16" over a checkered butt, Cast-Off for the right hand, 7 lbs. 1 oz., It has 65%coverage of pretty nice engraving, The barrels blue at 85%, The original stock finish at 80-82%, The checkering at 75%, The bores are excellent to near excellent plus but have light surface blemishes but no pits. The gun is tight on face, the barrels ring with a nice chime and the wood remains solid.
