SPRINGFIELD trapdoor with a dated breech of 1873, with a 1879 rear sight, and no cleaning rod. Has the front band with the stacking swivels.Has no cartouche, but stock looks original. American walnut wood is good, and the metal has about 70% blue, with fading to brown patina,with the trigger guard bow and the receiver more of a faded grey color.
